From Our Leadership Team:
Our leadership team meeting on October 13-14 was marked with sadness and joy as Dorothy O’Brien passed gently into eternal life. She seems to have given us her blessing, since we were able to address in some way all three of the goals we set ourselves for the next four years (as well as celebrating Mary Anne Powers’ birthday!).
"The Big Sick" is a recent romantic comedy based on the true story of the 2007 courtship of an interracial couple. Kumail, a stand-up comedian, is originally from Pakistan and Emily, a therapist, is from North Carolina. There are serious moments as they deal with parental issues and Emily's life-threatening illness. It's available on ppv etc.
