Second Sunday of Lent, 2016

Kathy Chadwick, an Associate in Florida, focuses on Peter’s response to the Transfiguration of Jesus and how we can relate that to our lives.

Imagine the confusion, terror, excitement and fear that Peter, James and John experienced at the Transfiguration of Jesus. They were privileged to see Jesus in the fullness of His divinity. We don’t know how James and John reacted, but impetuous Peter immediately thinks about how he can improve on it! As he tells Jesus about his plan to build three tents for Jesus and the prophets, Jesus must have been shaking his head and thinking, “will you ever get it Peter? It’s not all about you.”

24 Hours For The Lord Prayer Vigil

In his writing on the Year of Mercy, Pope Francis invites everyone to participate in 24 Hours for the Lord on March 4, 5. The School Sisters of Notre Dame at Wilton are praying in the following way:

  •  A common vespers on Friday, March 4 at 6 pm;
  •  A common prayer at 8 pm;
  •  Common prayer at 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm on Saturday, March 5.

Congregation of Notre Dame sisters have been invited to participate in any or all of the prayer times. Sister Pat McCarthy, CND, will lead the 8 pm prayer service.

Maison Saint-Gabriel's Exciting Project for Montréal’s 375th Anniversary

Maison Saint-Gabriel, Museum and Historic Site, with the South-West, Verdun, Lasalle and Lachine boroughs, and Maison Nivard-De Saint-Dizier, museum and archeological site, the Fleming Mill and the Lachine Museum, are proud to collaborate with the Society for the Celebrations of Montréal’s 375th Anniversary in an exciting project that will be launched in April 2017. It consists of a visual and sound route along the Saint Lawrence River, between Maison Saint-Gabriel, Museum and Historic Site, and the Lachine Museum. Via a mobile application and a series of explanatory panels along the way, this route will focus on the history and the people of this area.
