Climate Change Movie

"This Changes Everything" is a movie by Avi Lewis and partner Naomi Klein based on her book of the same name. It starts in some theatres across Canada and US on Oct. 9. It presents portraits of seven communities on the front lines including the Alberta Tar Sands. Interwoven with the stories is Klein's narration connecting the carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there. It is on over Thanksgiving weekend in Ottawa at the Mayfair Theatre. St. Peter’s Parish, Port Hood, celebrated its 150th anniversary of founding with four days of faith filled and joyful activities from July 23rd to the 26th, under the leadership of Fr. Vincent vanZutphen, parish priest. Remembered were the many contributions made by the Congregation of Notre Dame sisters during their one hundred seven year tenure in the parish community – 1884 to 1991. The Saturday afternoon historic pageant saw four women in costume represent the Congregation of Notre Dame presence in our parish as parishioners, teachers and First Communion catechists.
