WATERBURY CATHOLIC HIGH: This past weekend, a 50 year Graduate of Waterbury Catholic High came to Quonnie to invite any CND's who went to OR taught at Waterbury Catholic High from 1960-64 to attend their Reunion. It is on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014: Mass @ 11:15 in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, with a Luncheon immediately after at the Watertown Golf Club - 246 Guernseytown Road, Watertown.

MISCOUCHE ACADIAN MUSEUM... A DREAM REALIZED

Yes, dreams do come true! Sisters from PEI who knew Sister Antoinette Desroches knew the dream that motivated and inspired her. We admired her tenacity for her project, while smiling that she had begun her “museum” by preserving artifacts under her bed until her dream could be realized. On Sunday, January 26, on the very same date and hour of the original meeting to launch the project held in 1964, Island Acadians and others gathered at the museum to recognize its contribution to the Acadian community during the past fifty years.

A Wonderful "Play and Pray Day!"

The “Pray and Play” day at Quonnie on Sunday, August 10 was wonderful, especially for the twelve young women from Ann Marie Strileckis’s parish in Hartford. These “girls” (across a broad range of ages) were from families originally from Burma: they represented the KAREN culture, spoke in many dialects, had spent extended periods of time in Thai Refugee camps, were attentive, and are quite beautiful.
