How did you become involved in this field?

THE TELEVISED MASS IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF HARTFORD was celebrated on January 12th as the Memorial Mass for St. Marguerite Bourgeoys. Weather kept our Congregation of Notre Dame Sisters from being there but the Mass went on and the priest gave a homily on St. Marguerite. Sr. Martha Bowes arranged this. Thank you, Martha.

Human Trafficking – January 11 a Day to pray and to act for an end of this slavery: The United Nation's International Labor Organization's 2012 Estimate on Forced Labor provides some shocking statistics on the prevalence of human trafficking worldwide:

Of the estimated 20 million victims of trafficking and human slavery worldwide, 9.1 million victims (44 percent) have been trafficked internally or internationally.
