Associate Relationship - Visitation Province

Visitation Province

Visitation Province associate coordinators' meeting was held October 4-7 at the mother house. These days were enriching and alive with newness for all who gathered. They included stories of area happenings, plans for sharing and deepening the Assembly directions and in-service in the areas of associate communication and intranet, PRAM and Spirituality.

The April visit of the Congregation Leadership team and the Congregation of Notre Dame Corporate stance deepened the associates' understanding of the history and internationality of the congregation.

The associate assembly participants are eager and committed to bring the spirit and content of this experience back to their local areas. They prepared a PowerPoint presentation and are making it available to anyone who wishes to use it.

Three new candidates from the Central region were presented and will be received as associates in the new year.

Plans for the 35th anniversary of Associate Relationship in 2016 are in the planning stages and Marjorie Allison-Ross from Visitation Province is on the Congregation of Notre Dame 35th anniversary working committee.

The General Chapter preparation process has been actively going on across the Province. The Associate letter was compiled and a procedure for the selection of one associate participant was decided upon.

In September 16-18, 2016 there will be a first ever Canadian NACAR workshop on "Empowering Associate Leadership" held at Howe Island.
