Sunday, May 17, 2015 Beyond the Walls A Glance at Consecrated Life in Quebec

Centre PRI

To highlight the Year of Consecrated Life, the Centre PRI (Intercommunity Religious Presence) recently invited religious congregations to open their doors on May 17, 2015 to visitors interested in learning more about consecrated life in Quebec.

The Congrégation de Notre-Dame responded doubly by accepting to open its doors at both its mother house AND at Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel.

At the mother house, the open house will be held between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. If you missed the exhibit organized for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the building at 2330 Sherbrooke Street West, this is a good opportunity to see it! We will be showing the same posters and displays created by Communication Services and Archives Services for that event.

According to the Pri Centre’s suggestion, we asked a few sisters to be present to talk about their ministries with the visitors. Thank you to Sisters Lise Perras, Lisette Drainville and Annette Boisvert for accepting this invitation. Thank you also to Sisters Denise Lamarche and Irène Archambault who will be present to talk about Our Lady of Schools and the ashes of the heart of Marguerite. Finally, thank you to the sisters of the Mother House Community who will act as guides and be present for this afternoon of discovery and to the members of the personnel whose work has made this event possible.

Please do not hesitate to share information about this event with others. If you are already very familiar with the mother house and Chapel, why not take advantage of this opportunity to visit one of the other participating communities?

Enjoy the event!    http://www.centrepri.qc.ca/sn_uploads/fck/0VL_PubPleinePage.pdf
