Sr. Maureen Killoran celebrated in the news: Walking alongside refugee claimants has a long and rich history for Religious Communities in Canada. Over the past few years that important work and ministry has become more and more difficult with changes to the Claims Process & Hearings Protocols, Safe Third Country Legislation and most recently the Federal Government decision to deny refugee claimants access to public health care services. Sr. Maureen Killoran and Carty House have been dedicated to serving refugees and advocating for their rights.
