Jubilate Deo... in Laetitia

Eleanor Monahan, CND, with the Kingston CNDs

Jubilate Deo… in Laetitia. These words echo indeed the joyful celebration of Visitation and Jubilees in Kingston on May 31st. The celebration honoured five jubilarians: Sisters Mary Meagher, 75 years, Madelyn Brennan, 70 years, Margaret Walsh, Patricia Arsenault, and Rosemary Shannon, 60 years. During a special Eucharist for the CNDs, the sisters renewed their vows and Father Mac Burke reminded us that these anniversaries added up to 325 years of consecration in religious life and service to the people of God. Following the Mass, each jubilarian was presented with a beautiful rose and a colourful baluchon containing messages from each of the Kingston CNDs expressing her personal appreciation for the special gifts that each jubilarian has brought to the Congregation. Following the celebration, the sisters in the city from all the congregations gathered in the dining room for a delicious, festive dinner of roast beef and all the trimmings.
