St. Joseph Center, Mabou provided a wonderful setting and atmosphere for our 4-day mission group. What a GIFT to be the recipient of sincere hospitality given so graciously by the staff of the Center, the local community and the kitchen personnel. All that plus the support we receive from our group gathered could never be measured.

The first day of our time together was devoted to storytelling - the focus of which centered on a question that helped us share experiences of the past year related to the "Great Work" (Thomas Berry). The following days we centered on an exploration of and conversation on Organic Leadership based on Brenda's Pettigrew's PowerPoint presentation. Also we gave precious time to furthering our understanding and sharing lived experiences of our direction statement. We enjoyed reporting on a book that each one of us chose to read during the year - very informative and enlightening. The facilitation for each of the sessions is shared by all of us in teams of two. It goes without saying that prayer and ritual were incorporated into our days at appropriate times. During our spare time of which there is never enough, we simply enjoyed one another, the quiet and peace of being nestled within the beauty of the Mabou Hills. We concluded with a business meeting during which time we secured a meeting place, clear dates, and draw up a tentative agenda for our time together in 2015. The days pass all too quickly and we leave already looking forward to our next time together.
