Sisters of Notre-Dame Convent, Charlottetown

On the occasion of the newly appointed Maronite Bishop's official visit to Charlottetown on October 8, Sr. Lorraine was presented with a cedar carving mounted on a marble base.

The inscription reads “In honor of 35 years of dedicated and faithful service to the Maronite Community of PEI. Your solid commitment, your exemplary Christian life and your love for Christ is sincerely appreciated. May our Lord bless you always to continue your mission. Oct. 8, 2013.”

The carving depicts a cedar tree, a map of Lebanon and the Roman Pillars from Baalbeck. An accompanying card stated that a cedar bearing the name of Sr. Lorraine will be planted in the Cedar of the Lord Forest in North Lebanon, requested by Fr. Pierre Azzi, Our Lady of Lebanon, Halifax.

Congratulations, Lorraine!  We are proud of you.
