Mary Therese Coleman became a Congregation of Notre Dame Associate October 31st, 2001 and was an active member of the Ridgefield Associate Community.  Mary's picture shows her joy in living.  At her funeral on June 10th 2013, each of her four children eulogized her for her unconditional love, her witness to them of vibrant faith, service to her parish and those in need, prayerful life, devotion to Mary. She cherished her husband, children, twelve grandchildren and many friends.   Being a CND Associate was included in her obituary.  In a note, her husband, Joe, wrote “Mary truly enjoyed the spirituality and close friendship that she had with the Congregation of Notre Dame.”

Let us pray for Mary's family and the Ridgefield Associates who grieve her loss.

Central Committee of Associate Relationship Meeting - Montreal, June 20-23, 2013:
This summer eighteen Associates and Sisters from Africa, Canada, Central America, France and the United States gathered in Montreal from June 20-23 for the Central Committee of Associate Relationship Meeting.  Sr. Mary Anne Foley facilitated the first day on Visitation.  We were invited to sink into the mystery of the Visitation and the Magnificat together through prayer, song, reflection, images, silence and sharing.  We were all blessed and enriched by Sr. Mary Anne's thoughtful, prayerful sharing and loving energy. During the next three days, Committee members and Province Coordinators met to give Province/region reports and to discuss ongoing formation, policies and procedures, leadership development, formation at a distance and the future of Associate Relationship.

Sr. Marilyn Doucette, who served for six years, and Associate Yolande Cormier, who served for three years, were thanked by the committee and coordinators for their service and guidance in the Central Office of Associates.  Associates Ann Gotfryd (Visitation Province) and Adele Mercier (Marguerite-Bourgeoys Province) were introduced and welcomed as the new co-coordinators for the Central Office beginning in August.

From all that we experienced and all that we heard during our time together in Montreal, there is no doubt that Marguerite's spirit of love, compassion, hospitality, peace, justice and service lives on in our Associates!
