Entrance to the pre-novitiate on January 12, 2013

Suzy lived with her parents and family of five siblings in the largest city in Cameroon, Douala. Growing up Suzy was active in Christian Youth groups, both in school and in her parish. When Suzy felt attracted to Religious Life, the chaplain of their group invited her to contact our Sister Sophie with whom he had studied in University. Sophie invited her to meet the CNDs. Suzy completed her Secondary and High School studies in Ngaoundéré and Makak where she was accompanied by CND Sisters. Suzy participated in a number of our CND Vocation Camps. For her “experience of living in community before entering pre-noviciat”, Susz lived with our Sisters in Tchere. There she was initiated to teaching in the primary school, and loved her experience. It seems she has the makings of a real CND teacher. Suzie is a vivacious and enthusiastic 22 year old woman, happy to respond to God's call to religious life.

Pascaline also grew up in Douala. Pascaline first felt called to do something for God when her Parish Youth Group visited the leprosarium in her area. Though her family did not agree, Pascaline nurtured her desire to be of special service to others. To complete High School, she was sent to the town of Maroua in Northern Cameroon. There Pascaline enroled in a diocesan-run college, Jacques-de-Bernon, where she met Sister Sophie who accompanied her in her faith and vocational journey . After High School, Pascaline got to know the CND Sisters in Makak where she worked in Students' Residence, in Kumbo where she learned some English and computer skills and in Douvangar where she was involved in pastoral work with Youth and in the “Sare”, a residence for students. Pascaline says that her deepest desire is to become the fully alive person God created her to be.
